lead (Coffin lead)

Two strips of lead of uneven shape. One is about twice the size of the other. Tied together with a piece of green ribbon tied in a bow with a red wax seal.

According to the letter accompanying the lead (TD2543/2) these two pieces formed part of the shell of the coffin of Patrick Cotter (later O'Brien) known as the Bristol Giant.
