scarab (heart) (scarab (heart))
Black carved scarab with inscribed decoration on the top and a flat bottom with incised hieroglyphs from the Book of the Dead on the bottom. There is a hole drilled through the scarab's jaws.
The inscription on this example is a confusion of chapters 26 and 27 and reads as follows:
'The speech: My heart is in me in the house of hearts; my heart is in me in the house of hearts. Hail to thee my heart! Hail to thee my besek.'
