axehead, flat

Bronze flat axehead with crescentic, bevelled cutting edge. Base has slight flanges and circular perforations in the three rear projections separated by two concave curves. Acquired by Dr Fawcett at a Sotheby's auction of antiquities, 11 July 1966 (Lot 89). This object was pXRF sampled in 2022 and the results were consistent with other objects of Luristani origin.
