Prince Street Bridge. Bridge built by old Bristol Dock company in 1809 over Gib Ferry. Dean & Chapter collected tolls on pedestrians, and Dock Company on horses and carriages. G.W.R. purchased tolls and sold them to Corporation in 1878 for £15000. Present bridge opened free of toll 27 January 1879. (photograph)
