teapot & cover

'London' shape with pyramidal finial. Commemorating the death of Princess Charlotte in 1817.
Printed in black with same pattern on both sides: a square plinth bearing a female portrait and topped by ar urn inscribed 'PRINCESS CHARLOTTE', all under a weeping willow; to the left a grieving man, to the right, grieving Britannia, anchor and hourglass in foreground; to the left, a funeral cortege makes its way to a castle. Pink lustre bands on rim, on collar and above and below the print; pink leaf stems and dashes on spout, leaf flourish and dashes on handle.
On cover, two different black-printed vignettes each of a large house in a park; pink lustre rim band and detailing on finial. Design does not relate to the pot and the body is whiter - cover is probably a replacement.
