La Bacchante (sculpture)

a bronze sculpture, showing: the female figure of a Bacchante, a follower of Bacchus, the god of wine; here she is seen treading grapes and holding bunches above her head; this work was originally made as a plaster model in 1907, after which ten bronzes were cast (this version was the last of the ten cast); Bourdelle worked as an assistant in Auguste Rodin's studio until 1908
