cartonnage coffin fragment (coffin (fragment))

A piece of domed cartonnage, backed on linen and covered with plaster or gesso, with painted deocration. The decoations shows the tops of three columns of hierogylphs, a band of green, then a band of blue, white, black, red and green. The top section shows one blue and one green wing (or leaf) and a blue box with a yellow outline.
