Garment fragment, Chinese short-sleeved gown cut to make European man's waistcoat. Silk, deep red, embroidered in three tones of blue and white silk in satin-stitch: bats, butterflies, flowers and fruit. Edged in black and lined with pale blue floral damask-weave silk. Sleeves and part of back. Mounted on board together with N4177 B and N4178 A:2.
