corridor watercolour (watercolour)

Watercolour copied from the tomb of Pharaoh Sety I. It shows 'the journey of the boat of the sun through the fourth hour of the night'. Here, the sun's boat travels through the fourth hour of the night and is transformed into a serpent boat. It is confronted by giant serpents, who have to be pacified for the journey to continue. Around the images are texts from the 'Book of the Underworld, the 4th hour of the night'.
Continues H4403a to the left, a winged snake in the top row, various gods in the centre and a series of heads in the bottom row.
